So next Monday is going to be my last day at my current job and I'm not looking forward to that at all, but I'm happy for the work experience that I got there. It's another thing that I can add to my CV at the least.

But I've gotten a couple of people asking me "So what are you going to do now? Going back to school?"

See, some people there actually thought that I was an intern. Apparently I look that young.
When I reply by saying "No, I haven't been to school for about ten years", I get "How old are you then?" "29" "..."

Yes, I look more like I'm in my early 20s then like someone who will turn 30 next year. I still think that it is highly amusing because I get that all the time. Someone who I've known for years thought that I was 19 when I was actually 26.

When I'll hit my 40s, I'll no doubt be ecstatic over this fact. If people still think that I'm 8 years younger than I actually am by that time that is.

I arrived at work today and found out that there was barely anything to do which sucks. I come to work to work, not to eat out of my nose all day.

When I was transfered to that department I was told "they have a lot of work"...no, they don't...but my colleague complains about it all the goddamn time! And he spends nearly all his time on the department that we come from!

*sighs a lot and resists the urge to punch a hole through the wall*

But I still like my new workplace. Honestly. I just get annoyed easily...

Work sucks...that sums it up quite nicely...

I worked late all last week (except on tuesday because I had to pick up some books that I ordered) and this week isn't going to be a whole lot better. Just to clarify, for some people 40 hour work weeks are normal, they aren't for me. I work 32 hours a week, but I have to put in overtime.

I don't even know how to explain it so it makes sense, but I'm behind on hours. That's the easiest way of describing it I guess.

So things have been sort of hectic and they will probably get even worse, because I am going to attempt to vid! Yes, you heard it correctly, vidding, I'm going to try to do it.

First item on the list is a comedy vid that involves two RP characters, Oliver (Jack Davenport) and Thomas (Hugh Jackman) who have turned into some sort of double act. This was completely unintentional because Thomas was supposed to be silent and broody...he isn't anymore and he's obsessed with food as well. He won't shut up about it.

Second item on the list is another RP vid involving the male OFC's to the music of I Want Candy by Bow Wow Wow.

This is going to be interesting to do and I'll be sure to post whatever I come up with on here as well.

So look out for that one.

I moved all my stuff to my new workstation yesterday and I started working for the new department today.

It's actually alright!

I share a room with two other people. I've only worked with one of them before. The "new" woman is suprisingly relaxed. We had a couple of really nice conversations and she doesn't really care when I go off on a smoking break (I go smoking with a small group of people a couple of times a day).

Before the move, I was stuck in the room with someone who was seated behind me and I always had the feeling that she watched my every move and feigned kindness towards me which is highly annoying. Since I work for a fairly large organisation you never quite know who you're going to be seated with, so you have to take it for granted basically, but I've got a fairly good feeling about this move.

Just to illustrate it with something that may sounds weird...

I worked an hour longer today because I had to finish what I was doing. Now before on my old department, I'd have just thought "screw it" and left on time, but I didn't have that this time which is odd.

Putting in overtime on a friday is more than odd really...it's fucking insane...

So if that's anything to go by, then I think that I'll be alright.

I'll probably be switching desks sometime during the next week (or possibly the week after that).

There's a huge move going on at my work and everybody's being switched around. I'm moving from my current desk to one that's in the other wing. I will probably end up in a room together with someone that's going to the same department as me.

It's either that or I'll get a desk in a larger room with about...oh, say...12 other people...

I don't really want to move, but the department that I'm going to is in desperate need of an extra set of hands and because I've helped them out in the past, I suppose that that meant that I was a logical choice.

I really hope I get the smaller room though. I've never been in a small room before...not ever actually...

And another thing that's on my to-do list, I really need to sort out my dvd collection and the storage thereof. It just keeps expanding and expanding (latest additions are : Russkies, Pleasantville, Dirty Pretty Things, River Queen and Rescue Dawn) and I've been moving my books around like crazy, but I'm starting to run out of space...
